Tour proven Y-Cutter Grooves increase spin while improved feel pockets channel impact vibration more efficiently to strategic areas of the club. Tour-Proven Sole Configurations Developed on tour, the rac Satin TP has a tour-configured sole that is ground low on the trailing edge and at the toe and heel. When viewed from above, the trailing edge appears curved, resembling the letter C. This sole configuration allows players to open the clubface around the green to play high, soft chips and pitches. The leading edges of all the rac TP wedge models are radiused, enhancing the player's ability to hit low punch shots without digging. The versatility created by both the low trailing edge and the radiused leading edge make it possible to hit an extraordinarily wide variety of greenside shots with only a single bounce configuration.
I was a fan of the TP Black wedges and waited eagerly awaited the release of the TaylorMade RAC Satin TP Wedge. These did not disappoint, providing the exceptional feel and control that the black version offered. My favorite shot around the greens is a low running chip that will take one bounce and stop; these wedges make that an easy shot to make. The Y Cutter grooves also allow for increased spin from the bunkers so that you can land your shots closer to the pin and have them stop. The lower trailing edge allows you to really open the face for high flop shots that will stick like velcro to the greens. You will need to recalibrate your approach shots if you haven't played the TP wedges before, due to the higher spin rates, you may need to carry the ball a few yards further to allow for the ball to back up or the reduced release that you will see. I prefer the look of the satin finish to the black finish for a couple of reasons; first, it won't rust, which is a look that I never got used to, and psychologically I think that the satin makes me think that the wedge feels softer.

Players’ review:
I purchased the 54* and the 60* and haven't looked back since. The spin is indescribable. Play it back in your stance, cock your wrists forward, take a divot in front of the ball and watch your little punch check up right next to the pin. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT! You definitely have to hit it consistently because since it is Tour Preferred, it is not very forgiving, but that is a wedge does. This club is also great from tight lies and it just rips through the rough with ease. The best wedge on the market as far as I'm concerned. GREAT JOB, TAYLOR MADE!
TaylorMade do it again! This wedge have lowered my score by 3-5 strokes a round! It’s better than the Titleists and Callaway X Series JAWS Chrome Wedge. It’s just the best, anyway where I hit it, from a little chip from 5 meters to a full wedge from 60 (I’m just a boy on 13, so I don't hit it kilometers)! I use at least 3 less strokes each round and its 3 putts. I must say I've used a few other 56 and 60 degree wedges before, but nothing has ever given me the control these wedges present. This is a great gap wedge. You can get an amazing amount of spin with this club. I would suggest this to anyone that is serious about their game & lowering their scores.

I love these wedges and consistently hit the ball so close on the chip shots (30 yards) that most of the time I get the gimmie put (within 6 inches). My putting count has gone way down as a result. I am most comfortable with the 56 right now, but let me tell you these clubs are real confidence builders and let me fly to the flag without fear. The ball checks right up and if I swing full, and actually hit the green (working on it) the ball will dance around with some action, left, right, or back depending on how I hit it. I am looking to buying the full set of irons due to the feel and workability of these clubs.
